glenn rogers
Born in East London, Glenn grew up in the traditions of the East End of the 60s & 70s. His passion for entertaining was evident from a very early age, often singing along to traditional cockney songs around the piano (pretty much every household in London had a piano in those days!), or tucked under the table with a Pepsi and an Arrowroot biscuit in a local pub. Glenns great, great grandfather was professor of music at Oxford University and this conection enabled Glenn to take his music and technical theatre degrees at Brookes College Oxford.
Glenn has been entertaining professionally for close to 50 years, starting out as a pit and session musician before moving into cabaret as a singer and comedian (where he earned his moniker, The Outrageous Glenn Rogers). Although the last 20 years have been dedicated to the promotion of Country Music, Glenn continues to perform every conceivable genre of music to audiences of all types.
In 2011, Glenn teamed up with Phil Mack (McLaughlin-Rogers Media) and launched the Phil Mack International Country Show on Sky TV. Glenn Rogers Crazy World was launched on the same channel in 2012 and, together, the shows boasted in excess of 1 million viewers worldwide. In 2016 Glenn & Phil launched Keep It Country TV on Sky and FreeView, Europe's only 24/7 country music channel. The channel now broadcasts as Music & Memories on FreeView 271 while Glenn & Phils shows continue to air on Sky 186.
